When automation isn't enough, we build the app

iOS, Android, and web applications built around how your business actually works — and wired into the automation running underneath.

Where automation ends, an app begins

Most of what costs you time doesn't need an app. It needs the work you already do to run without someone remembering to do it — and that's the automation Karteric™ builds first. If that solves your problem, we'll stop there and tell you so.

But some problems need a place to live. A customer portal where clients check status without calling. A field-service app your crews actually use on site. An internal tool for the process nobody sells software for. A booking system your customers get through in under a minute instead of abandoning.

That's when we build. And because we already understand your operation from the automation side — how work arrives, who touches it, where it stalls — the app isn't bolted onto the edge of your business. It plugs into the systems already running, and it carries the same data the rest of your operation depends on.

What we build

Three platforms, one system. Most engagements start with the surface your customers or crews touch most.

  • iOS apps

Native or cross-platform iPhone and iPad apps for the people who matter most — your customers checking status and booking work, or your field crews capturing photos, signatures and job notes without coming back to the office.

The work gets recorded where it happens, not re-typed later.

  • Android apps

The same reach on Android, built cross-platform wherever a shared codebase gets you to launch faster and costs less to maintain — and native where the hardware, offline behavior or performance genuinely demands it.

One build, both app stores, no second project to fund.

  • Web applications

Customer portals, internal dashboards, booking and intake systems, admin and approval tools. Responsive from phone to desktop, built on infrastructure that holds up when your volume doubles or you add a second location.

The tool your team stops working around because it finally fits.

We're not an offshore app factory

You can buy cheap development anywhere. What you usually get back is exactly what you specified, built by people who never asked what the business needed — and no one to call when it breaks. We start with discovery: how your business runs, what your people and your customers actually need, and what happens on the days that don't go to plan. Then we build custom to fit, connected to the automation layer we already do best. One partner, one system, built to last.

Discovery first

No scope before we understand the operation. The first meeting is questions, not a quote — and sometimes the honest answer is that you don't need an app at all.

Custom to fit

Built around your workflows instead of forcing your team to reorganize around someone else's product assumptions. The seams in your business are where the value is.

Human at the center

The app takes the friction. Your people keep the judgment and the relationship — and they can reach an actual person here when something needs changing.

How an app gets built here

The same discovery-first sequence as every Karteric™ engagement, framed for a build.

  1. 01

    The conversation

We start by understanding the business, not the feature list. Who touches this, what breaks today, and whether an app is even the right answer — sometimes automation alone solves it and we'll say so.

  2. 02

    Discovery & scoping

We map the workflows the app has to serve and the systems it has to talk to, then define a first release that's genuinely useful rather than a two-year wish list nobody uses.

  3. 03

    Design & tailored plan

Screens, flows and data model designed around how your people and customers actually behave. You see and approve the shape of the thing before a line of production code is written.

  4. 04

    Build & launch

We build it, wire it into your existing tools and the automation layer underneath, test it against real use, and handle store submission and rollout with minimal disruption to the day job.

  5. 05

    Maintain & improve

OS updates, security patches, new features and the changes real usage always reveals. We stay on it — an app handed over and forgotten is a liability, not an asset.

Common questions

Do you build native or cross-platform?
Whichever serves the build. Cross-platform gets you iOS and Android from one codebase — faster to launch, cheaper to maintain, and right for most business apps. We go native when offline behavior, device hardware or performance demands it. We'll tell you which applies to your project during discovery, and why.
Can the app connect to my existing tools and automations?
Yes — that's our strength. We already build the automation layer that connects CRMs, phone systems, field software and accounting. An app we build plugs into those systems rather than sitting beside them, so data flows one way through your operation instead of being entered twice.
How long does a custom app take?
A focused first release typically lands in a few months, not a few weeks and not a few years. We scope to a useful launch and then extend, so you get something in real hands early instead of waiting on a complete build to find out what actually matters.
Do you maintain it after launch?
Yes, ongoing. Operating systems change, app stores change requirements, and usage teaches you things no spec anticipated. We monitor, patch, extend and keep it running — the same way we maintain the automation systems we build.

Tell us what you're trying to solve

Bring the problem, not a spec. We'll tell you honestly whether it needs an app — and if it does, what the first useful release looks like.
